Education Digital Services
A dedicated team within Lancashire County Council Digital Services who offer schools and academies a comprehensive portfolio of services including: SIMS MIS support, broadband connectivity, education focussed cloud-based services, ICT security advice, hardware sales and technical support services.
Educational Visits
The Educational/Off Site Visits SLA to schools and services is in place to ensure the safety of all young people and to support staff through a comprehensive Educational Visits Policy. We offer help and training on all aspects of educational visit planning and delivery. This is facilitated through a dedicated educational visits website (EVOLVE), which supports the vetting process.
Environmental Services
We are Lancashire County Council's in-house, operational team for everything outdoors. We offer grounds maintenance, landscape construction and arboriculture services. Our grounds maintenance Service Level Agreements are offered as unique, flexible packages or as conventional fixed-price types, but in all cases they are bespoke to the customer to meet the site's individual needs and functions. Landscape projects and tree work can be carried out too, either as part of the Service Level Agreement or independently of a Service Level Agreement as a one off job.
We happily provide expert advice regarding site improvements for accessibility, biodiversity or anything else to do with the outdoor environment. Being part of a larger team with extensive civil engineering and structural skills, there is no limit to any enquiry regarding your external landscape construction and maintenance needs.

The Education Improvement–Equality and Diversity Team provides support to Lancashire schools, families and communities to enable pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds, particularly the most vulnerable, to fully embrace the educational opportunities available in Lancashire and achieve their potential.

Health and Safety
The Health, Safety and Quality team's Service Level Agreement provides educational establishments with the opportunity to buy into a comprehensive occupational health and safety management system accessed via the Schools Portal and also through the provision of email, telephone and face-to-face support to Headteachers and their employees.
Human Resources
The Schools' HR Team works in partnership with school leaders to resolve difficult HR issues. The team provide a comprehensive, flexible and responsive HR support service to assist Headteachers, School Business Managers and Governing Boards to meet their obligations, to support them in managing HR issues in an effective and professional manner, and to enable the Local Authority's responsibilities to be met.
Heritage Learning
Heritage Learning Lancashire provides award winning learning sessions at museums across the county and as an interactive outreach into your school. The team also operate a loans box service which offers a range of real and replica objects for use in your classroom. Heritage Learning Lancashire provide a range of teacher CPD sessions designed to be delivered both in school and at Museums HQ.

Lancashire Catering Services
Lancashire Catering Service provides a comprehensive, fully managed and compliant catering service in partnership with primary, special and secondary schools. The service aim is to produce healthy and nutritious meals with menus which positively influence the food choices of our children and young people, whilst always considering where the food we put on our plates comes from and how it was produced.
Lancashire Music Service
Our aim is to enable and encourage access to music education for Lancashire’s pupils, bringing them the best music-making opportunities available. We provide visiting teachers to deliver instrumental and vocal lessons and we can also deliver curriculum music. Progression is supported both in schools and through a range of out of school activities. We also provide training and support for classroom teachers and music coordinators.
Lancashire Outdoor Education
Located across Lancashire and Cumbria, our Lancashire Outdoor Education centres offer lakeside views to woodland surroundings, capturing the real essence of the outdoors at your fingertips.
We are a major provider of outdoor residential facilities and activities. We offer fantastic courses for schools, groups, individuals and businesses.
Legal Services
The County Secretary and Solicitor's Group provides a range of legal services to schools. Immediate advice and assistance is available from the Education and Schools Team under the terms of the Legal Advice Service scheme, which was introduced in 2000. The scheme is provided under the terms of a Service Level Agreement.
Lancashire Teaching Agency
The LTA provides high quality staff appointed under stringent safeguarding and quality standards who have regular access to CPD. The LTA aims to fulfil all schools' short term, long term and permanent recruitment needs, covering all teaching and support staff roles. The LTA Frequent User Membership Scheme allows schools to make savings on both their temporary and permanent recruitment (with FREE transfer to contract after one term placement).
Payroll and Recruitment Service
Payroll and Recruitment Services provide services to Schools and Academies throughout Lancashire and the North West.
We currently payroll over 36,000 employees a month, for a diverse range of clients which include over 500 schools, a district council, academies and multi academy trust clients.

Pupil Access Team
Academy Conversion Services. We realise that transitioning to an Academy is an important time for you. We are here to help to bridge the gap by providing services in the two key areas of admissions and free school meals.
School Advisory Service
We offer a School Improvement Service Guarantee (SISG) or School Improvement Service Level Agreement (SISLA) for primary, secondary, special and nursery schools and academies in Lancashire and beyond. This fully comprhensive traded offer, contributes towards achieving our vision by supporting and challenging schools to deliver high quality provision.
School Appeals
Lancashire County Council's School Admission Appeals Service provides a highly professional and efficient service to the schools of Lancashire. Our team is committed to ensuring that all School Admission Appeal hearings are conducted fairly, equally and within the legislative framework and appeals code.
Schools Financial Services
The Schools Finance Team offers a wide range of professional support services to assist schools in managing their budgets. Provided by our experienced team which enables you to access our breadth of skills and knowledge to suit your needs.
The team has a reputation throughout Lancashire for high quality support, advice, and training. We take pride in our ability to build strong working relationships helping to ensure our work with you delivers improved financial management throughout the school.
School Library Service
The School Library Service offers a complete range of reading and library support, from resourcing book collections to creating exciting libraries and reading spaces.
The School Library Service encourages and supports reading for pleasure by offering book loans to support curriculum topics, Book Awards and workshops to engage children with reading and help to build a reading culture within schools as well as core collections of books for school libraries and classrooms.

School Safeguarding
The School Safeguarding Team offer a popular and good value Service Level Agreement. The standard package is just £250 (Under 280 pupils) or £400 (Over 280 pupils.) This includes 2 places on DSL training, (extra places can be purchased as required) access to the LCC School Safeguarding Advice Line, newsletters and LCC safeguarding updates, invitations to DSL virtual drop – ins, invitations to the annual conference and supporting documents. These include a policy template, training packs for delivery to staff, DSL Handbook, Induction Packs, Pupil Based Risk assessment document amongst others.
There is an option to purchase an enhanced agreement for £1000 per setting. This includes additional support and schools can adapt this to what best suits their setting. This may include DSL bespoke training, whole school training, SCR checks, audits, consultancy visits or support in other areas. This also includes extra training opportunities. This service is at capacity but a wait list is available.
SEND Specialist Teaching Service
Access support for your education setting from specialist teachers who have experience across all areas of special educational needs and disability (SEND).
