Red Rose Bounce Back Phonics is a 12 week planning programme based on Red Rose Letters and Sounds which has been developed to support children in Y2 and KS2 who need further support in phonics for reading and writing. It is an intervention programme designed to revisit Phase 4 and target the higher value GPCs in Phase 5.

This half day course explores the principles behind the programme and exemplifies practical delivery of the sessions. Assessment opportunities will be explored during the course in order to identify the GPCs and tricky words which require further teaching, practice and application.

During the pilot phase (up-to and including July 2024) the Red Rose Bounce Back Phonics publication is included as part of this training course. From September 2024, the Red Rose Bounce Back Phonics publication will be available to purchase separately to the training course – link to the publication coming soon.
