25/06/2026 25/06/2026 BLADES, Jim On 13 November 2025 Jim BLADES suffered a fall in his supported accommodation at Dovestone Gardens, Briercliffe, Burnley sustaining a fractured neck of femur requiring hospital admission and surgery, following which his general condition declined against a background of established Parkinson's Disease and he was discharged to Oaklands Nursing Home, Burnley on 23 January 2026 where he died on 30 January 2026.

25/06/2026 25/06/2026 TAYLOR, Allan Mr Allan TAYLOR died on the 4th March 2026 in Blackburn hospital from hospital acquired pneumonia. Mr TAYLOR sustained a fractured neck of femur on the 16th February 2026 whilst an inpatient at Clitheroe Hospital where he was receiving rehabilitation care. He sustained a fractured neck of femur and was transferred to Blackburn hospital for surgical repair which was undertaken on the 20th February 2026. Mr TAYLOR developed pneumonia following the surgery from which he did not recover despite antibiotic treatment. Mr TAYLOR had a number of significant underlying health problems including frailty, heart failure, stroke and hypoglycaemic episodes which contributed to his overall frailty.

29/06/2026 29/06/2026 ASHWORTH, Shirley Patricia Shirley Patricia ASHWORTH died on the 16th March 2026 at her home address as a consequence of Alzheimer's dementia. Mrs ASHWORTH had been knocked over in an accident at the home in late February which resulted in a fractured neck of femur for which she underwent surgery. Following surgery she continued to deteriorate until her death.

02/07/2026 02/07/2026 RAZZAQ, Mohammed Mohammed RAZZAQ who suffered from a significant heart condition and was a user of cocaine was found dead at his home on the 1st of March 2026 
02/07/2026 02/07/2026 TRANT, Mary Agusta Mary Agusta TRANT died on 26 February 2025 at Royal Preston Hospital, Preston, Lancashire. Mrs TRANT was admitted to hospital with a suspected stroke. A Cerebral Infarct was diagnosed from which she did not recover. Mrs TRANT was eligible for treatment by thrombectomy, but this service was not available at the hospital at the time of her admission, which contributed to her death

03/07/2026 03/07/2026 LLOYD, Amber Christina Amber Christine LLOYD died on the 17th June 2026 at her home address as a consequence of respiratory failure. Amber had a diagnosis of cerebral palsy as a consequence of hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy. AMBER's cerebral palsy was attributable to the care she and her mother received during her birth when continuous monitoring was incorrectly interpreted. AMBER's death arose as a direct consequence of the cerebral palsy which resulted from the hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy which occurred during her birth.

03/07/2026 03/07/2026 STARKIE, Ralph Ralph STARKIE was found deceased on the 9th August 2025 at his home address. Mr STARKIE was a reclusive gentleman who was last seen alive in May of 2025 and had plainly been deceased for a long time when he was found. Mr STARKIE's home was derelict in condition despite offers of assistance from social services, Mr STARKIE indicated a happiness and willingness to reside there. The staircase in the house had collapsed and the temperature inside was very low. Post Mortem examinations have been unable to determine a cause of death due to severe decomposition. An accident or traumatic injury resulting in death can be neither ruled in or out, equally natural causes remain a possibility. There is no evidence to suggest that Mr STARKIE's death was intentional or as a result of substance use.
