2025 Yearbook
In our busy work lives, we spend a lot of time looking towards the coming weeks and months ahead, without much time to reflect on what we have worked on. As we start preparing for the new year, it's great to look back and reflect on the amazing work and progress achieved in the past year, for both yourself and the residents of Lancashire.
Our 2025 Yearbook gives you the opportunity to do just that.
Whether this is recognising your own personal development and success, celebrating the work of your colleagues, or even just saying thank you to someone, our Yearbook is for you to comment on what has made you feel proud this year.
The Yearbook is accessible to everyone who works at Lancashire County Council. To submit a comment of recognition, please enter your details below.

As we reflect on 2025, I am proud of the incredible progress and dedication shown by our catering team. This year, we’ve worked tirelessly to provide nutritious, enjoyable, and comforting meals that truly make a difference in the lives of older people. From introducing innovative menus and enhancing dining experiences to providing additional services for special birthdays and anniversaries , every achievement has been driven by your passion and commitment. Thank you to every member of the team for your hard work, creativity, and care. Together, we’ve not only served meals—we’ve created moments of joy and connection. Here’s to continuing this journey in 2026, building on our successes and striving for even greater impact!

I personally would like to thank everyone in the all the Lancashire County Museum Service teams including our volunteers and Friends for their incredible work and advocacy across Lancashire and beyond. From inspiring school children and visitors, raising grant funding for training and activities, exhibitions like 50 objects and Hidden Hoards and sharing our expertise to support projects such as conservation work by Lancashire Conservation Studio showcased in Preston's Harris Museum. There is so much to highlight and praise including brilliant tours, events and workshops across our sites. Finishing 2025 with a Best Told Story award for our guided tours at Lancaster Castle was the icing on the Christmas cake. Well done everyone for enabling more people to explore Lancashire's rich heritage and culture and demonstrating our core values.

I want to take a moment to appreciate the Mental Health Hospital Discharge Team for the incredible support we give each other every day. The way we work together and share knowledge makes such a positive difference, and it’s something I really value. Our manager is not only approachable but also extremely supportive and knowledgeable. They create an environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and learning, which makes a huge impact on how well we work as a team. The senior social worker is a real wealth of knowledge, and the other social workers share their expertise daily, giving me amazing opportunities to learn and grow. This support is helping me build confidence and work towards my goal of starting a social work apprenticeship in the future. I feel lucky to be part of such a collaborative and knowledgeable team—thank you all for making this such a great place to work. I look forward to 2026!

I want to take a moment to thank both the Enablement and Employment Service teams for your hard work, dedication, and commitment over the past 12 months. 2025 has been a fast-paced and challenging year. Together, we’ve taken on new programmes, developed policies and procedures, adapted to new expectations - all while continuing to provide high-quality support and achieving fantastic outcomes for people with disabilities, helping them gain independence and paid employment. A huge thank you also to all our referral partners. It’s been a pleasure working alongside you, and I look forward to building even stronger collaborations in the future. To everyone - thank you so much. You’ve truly earned a well-deserved break!

The Inclusion and SEND service this year has worked exceptionally hard to achieve some significant improvements for our children and young people with SEN within Lancashire whilst working within a complex landscape.
