2025 Yearbook

In our busy work lives, we spend a lot of time looking towards the coming weeks and months ahead, without much time to reflect on what we have worked on. As we start preparing for the new year, it's great to look back and reflect on the amazing work and progress achieved in the past year, for both yourself and the residents of Lancashire.

Our 2025 Yearbook gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Whether this is recognising your own personal development and success, celebrating the work of your colleagues, or even just saying thank you to someone, our Yearbook is for you to comment on what has made you feel proud this year.

The Yearbook is accessible to everyone who works at Lancashire County Council. To submit a comment of recognition, please enter your details below.

Thank you to everyone who has made me feel extremely welcome to LCC. I started in Feb 2025 and yesterday 18th December was made perm as PA to Director of Children's Social Care, whom I absolutely love working for. My hub have been amazing and extremely supportive during my journey here and I am looking forward to many more years to come. Thank you.

I would really like to thank all my wonderful colleagues in the Appeals Team, who have worked so hard every day for the families and schools of Lancashire (and beyond!). Not to mention the brilliant work of our volunteer panel members and amazing colleagues in the pupil access team, headteachers, school presenters and SEN experts. Plus those in all our appeal venues who support with our rooms, car parking and helping parents. I definitely couldn't do my job without everyone's teamwork and support and I really appreciate it. It's lovely to work with a dedicated team and it makes work a pleasure, especially during our busy summer months when it all gets a bit crazy, at least we try to keep each other sane! This year seems to have been non-stop and I think everyone is really ready for a little break so I hope you all have a lovely restful Christmas and a Happy New Year :)

My heartfelt thanks go to my line manager Allen-Highway Design Team Lead Engineer, Rina -Highway Design Manager, Kirstie Williams- Head of Services, and Sophie Fowler - Head of Service, Strategic Resourcing and Workforce Planning. Your guidance and support in helping me obtain visa sponsorship have changed my life. After 2 years and 8 months of living apart, I was finally able to bring my daughter to the UK, and words cannot express the joy of being reunited as a mother and daughter in August 2025. I am also deeply grateful to the Lancashire County Council authorities for granting permission for the International Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. This kindness inspires me to give my very best every day in service to LCC.

This year I've started my social work career with a fantastic new team at Separated Children and Families. We've already achieved amazing things with our young people despite only being a few months old. The support from Jenna, Sufyan, Helen & Daisy has been incredible for me as the newbie, as well as from other teams across the council. Honestly, I feel like a rescue dog who's found his forever home. :)
