7. Winter Fuel Payment

You may be entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment to help you pay your heating bills if:

  • you were born on or before 26 September 1957; and
  • you lived in the UK for at least one day during a specific week set by the government. 

For winter 2023/24, the Winter Fuel Payment will be increased by between £150 and £300 to help cover the rising cost of energy.
