"I love fostering as I want to give every child a chance to have a good life and stay with their siblings."

Catherine, 48, is a single mum with three biological children, two of whom have grown up and left home, while one still lives with her. Catherine has been fostering with Lancashire for two years.

Speaking about her experience of fostering, Catherine said:

I have been fostering for two years.

All my foster children have been under the age of 10, from as young as two years old. I offer a fostering home that keeps sibling groups together.

Working with Lancashire County Council's fostering service has been beneficial as they are not only supportive of me, but also of my biological children too.

I love fostering because I want to give every child a chance to have a good life and stay with their siblings.

With my last foster children, I was able to take them on a holiday abroad. They had never been on a plane or been on holiday before. I called the airline and they arranged certificates, a meeting with the captain and a special teddy bear.

"Watching their faces made the whole journey worthwhile."
