When you deposit your waste, ownership of it passes to Lancashire County Council. Any items deposited may be retained for reuse or recycling in order to reduce what is sent for disposal.

Friday to Tuesday - 9am-5pm.

Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

Access policy

Please be aware of our access policy if delivering waste in a van or using a trailer.

All of our permit schemes are currently suspended.

All vans and trailers (including single axle trailers) must make an appointment to visit a recycling centre. An appointment is for a van or a trailer - not both. A van can be used to tow a trailer, but waste will not be accepted from both.

The centre is most conveniently accessed from the B6243 Bawdlands/Edisford Road by turning into Henthorn Road. Continue some way along Henthorn Road, over the small bridge until the site appears on the left hand side.
