Funded childcare resources

We regularly run campaigns to promote the benefits of taking a funded place with a childminder, nursery or pre school and encourage eligible families to take up a funded place.

Promoting the 15 hours early learning for 2-years-old for non-working families and those in receipt of certain benefits is a priority for us to help improve school readiness and achieve good levels of development at EYFS.

We also promote 30 hours of funded childcare from 9 months to 4-years-old for working families, in addition to other help paying for childcare including tax free childcare and Universal Credit childcare.

Objective

• To encourage eligible families to find out what childcare support they are entitled to on the Best Start in Life website.
• To encourage take-up of early years funded places at nurseries and childminders in Lancashire.
