Community and Family Engagement

The EM-GRT Community team can provide additional support alongside school core support and other mainstream services in order to improve the engagement, attendance and attainment of children, young people and their families.

Access and Engagement Team members provide information and advice on education for parents and carers, including admissions, educational grants and benefits, extended holidays, promotion of school events, further and higher education, special educational needs, exclusions and behaviour issues. Programmed Education Advice Surgeries are offered each week at the premises of community organisations in Nelson, Brierfield and Burnley.
