Young People's Alcohol and Tobacco Surveys

Previous Lancashire wide surveys provided evidence to:

  • Introduce a voluntary age restriction (16+) on caffeinated energy drinks
  • Fully understand the supply of psychoactive substances (legal highs) in Lancashire which led Trading Standards to seize huge quantities of synthetic drugs and create educational resources to raise awareness of the dangers with young people
  • Implement Community Alcohol Partnerships to improve local areas and safeguard young people
  • Deliver campaigns to influence behaviour change in parents who supply their children with alcohol
  • Offer free support and training for licensed premises in the night time economy to restrict access to alcohol by under 18s
