Withnell, Station Bridge

Submission to the Department for Transport Structures Fund for works to Withnell Station Bridge, Abbey Village, Chorley.

A bid has been submitted to the Department for Transport Structures Fund for works to Withnell Station Bridge, Abbey Village, Chorley.
The works are for full deck replacement to a value of £7m.
If successful this would allow the full opening of the bridge, which has been restricted since the summer of 2023.
If successful, the works should be complete by the summer of 2030.
