What makes you proud of people where you live or work? Nominate them for a Pride in Lancashire Award.

We don't have categories for these awards, but here's a guide to some areas to think about to help you with applying:

• Is there someone who goes above and beyond in your local area?
• Do they help to bring people together and/or brighten up your local area?
• Do you know a great community, voluntary or grassroots group who arrange activities and event where you live?
• Is a local business supporting local people to find work, supporting the area where they’re based or giving something back?
• Do you know a group of people or organisations who work together to support their local areas in different ways?

We don't want to be too specific on what to look for, as we're looking to celebrate the best of Lancashire.

How to nominate

Nominate yourself or someone you know before noon on Fri 11 September.

If you are nominating somebody else, make sure you have their permission.

There are no specific categories for the awards, we just want to find great examples of people doing great things.

Alternatively, you can visit any of our libraries where printed forms will be available. Please ask library staff for one, and then return it to them.
