Break Time activities will commence from 1 April 2022. Your child or young person must meet the criteria, and you must have registered to access these activities.

Remember your child or young person's membership number (unique identifier number) when booking activities and groups.

All sessions are subject to provider availability, and the times and days listed below are only indicative of what may be available. Please contact the provider directly to confirm when sessions will be running.

The club is a not-for-profit organisation designed to cater for children and families within the local community. A key strength of the club is that all attendees can swim most days; a lifeguard is provided to ensure all children's safety whilst swimming and our facilities have appropriate lifting equipment. We employ experienced trained staff who are used to manual handling and care needs of all children - it is key that our staff know the care needs/plans, handling requirements and behaviour support for each child. We provide a wide range of other activities including some brought in from outside sources that are fully inclusive for all children attending.

Play Inclusion Project

Recent trips include The Space Centre, Blackpool Zoo, Farmer Parr's Animal world and walks to the local parks. In house activities include themed arts and crafts, sport sessions with Lancashire Boys and Girl's Club, bouncy castle hire, sand arts and party days. Sessional support workers are employed to provide 2:1 support to those who attend.

Broadfield Specialist School

From September 2022 we have moved to new premises in Burnley, but can provide a minibus pick-up service for Break Time members living in Hyndburn. Please ask for details when booking.

Mondays - we offer an after school sports club for all abilities, with staff from school. We understand that everyone should be treated as an individual and will have different needs. Staff will adapt the session for all students needs in a special school environment. Tuesdays - Rebound therapy is for young people who can not access other after school clubs. Rebound Therapy helps to develop confidence, fitness, balance and co-ordination as well as providing opportunities for sensory integration and the development of communication and turn-taking skills. Wednesdays - We offer a wide range of social and recreational activities. We provide music, dance Film Night, ICT Night, Cooking Nights and Games nights and adventure activities as well as usual play and youth sessions activities, for ages11-18. Our friendly team look forward to meeting you and supporting you to get involved with the exciting activities on offer. We aim to offer positive experiences for all. We welcome all children and we will do our upmost to provide additional support. Saturday trips involve going out to various places this can be the cinema Bowling, Crazy Golf The Zoo Safari park. Going out in the general public gives all children the opportunity to experience different venues that they may not have the opportunity to attend other times also to socially interact with there peers all meals included. School holiday trips are similar to the Saturday trips and involve going to various places cinema bowling crazy golf safari park all meals included.

Burnley FC in the Community’s Limitless Clarets Programme deliver FREE soft play sessions at FUNDA Land for young people aged 5-12 years who have special educational needs, impairments and/or disabilities. Rainbow Hub NW Limited

We offer fun and inclusive daytime holiday clubs which promise to be engaging and appropriate for all ages and abilities. Our friendly and experienced team will help children and young people to access the activities and ensure they are differentiated to meet individual needs. We have plenty of arts and crafts, sports equipment and toys as well as a sensory room, an indoor soft play room and extensive outdoor areas.

Sport Works Ltd

Sessions of sports, games, and fun activities for young people. Inclusive for children and young people with SEN/disabilities. We provide a wide range of sporting activities to promote health and wellbeing.

Young people will choose the activities they want to do:
Nerf Wars, Basketball, Benchball, Handball, Boccia, Archery, Tennis, Football, New Age Kurling, Ultimate Frisbee, Rock–it–Ball, Boxercise, Cricket, Circuits and boot camps.
Cheerleading, Dance, Drama, Music, Storytelling and Yoga.
Lego, Play-Doh, Colouring and Arts & Crafts.
Obstacle Relays, Parachute Games, Soft Play.
Outdoor activities, Team building, Leadership and volunteering.
Mental health focused activities including mindfulness/yoga/meditation.

Lancashire Outdoor Education offer a range of outdoor activities based from our three outdoor centres. Our staff are experienced in meeting participant needs whilst providing a fun, safe and friendly experience. We offer a wide range of activities which are adapted according to location, environmental conditions and participants. Days will be offered for similar age / needs to ensure the best success for all; e.g. primary, secondary, fully accessible.
