Winter Parade 2023

One of the county council's top priorities is to keep our roads moving which can be a particular challenge when faced with winter weather. Our dedicated teams are ready around the clock from October to April to deploy our 58 strong gritting fleet to tackle any severe wintry weather which arrives in Lancashire.

We're ready for #LancsWinter

With winter just around the corner, our gritter drivers went out to test drive the forty-five priority routes. This allowed the drivers to familiarise themselves with the routes during the day, for new drivers to be trained, and to make sure that any issues on those roads were picked up before we have to do it for real.

Watch our reel to see David Attenbrrrough and our frosty fleet setting out on their winter parade. Find out what you can do to make sure that when severe winter weather strikes you are prepared with our being prepared advice.
