Coronavirus - Park and Ride update

Both the Lancaster and Walton-Le-Dale Park and Rides are operating a normal service.

When using these services please follow the Government's latest advice and guidance on Covid-19. Please practice social distancing and wash your hands before and after travelling.

Since 15 June, face coverings are to be worn while using public transport in England to help reduce the spread of coronavirus as lockdown measures are eased

Please note that face coverings are not the same as face masks.  The government has set out advice on how to make and wear your own face coverings easily at home, using a scarf or other textile items. It is important that you do not use medical grade PPE masks to ensure these remain available for frontline staff

Preston, Portway Park and Ride

The Preston, Portway Park and Ride is operated by Rotala Preston Bus Ltd on a commercial basis. This site will remain closed to enable government guidance on social distancing on the buses to be maintained. For further information on the Portway site please visit www.prestonbus.co.uk.

Walton-le-dale Park and Ride

From Saturday 29th August 2020, until further notice, there will be a drive-through coronavirus testing facility situated on a cordoned off section of the Walton Le Dale Park and Ride site. The park and ride service will not be affected and continue to operate as normal whilst the testing facility is in place with parking still being available on the main car park. Clear signage will be on display at the park and ride site to direct you to the open parking area for the park and ride service.
