Electric vehicle charging in Lancashire

We are supporting more people in Lancashire to use electric vehicles by increasing the number of convenient and local electric vehicle chargepoints across Lancashire.
By 2030, around 36% of all cars and vans on our roads in Lancashire could be electric vehicles. This is expected to increase following the phasing out of the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030.

Our strategy
The Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Strategy outlines our plan to expand convenient, local electric vehicle chargepoints across the county.
This strategy sets out how we will provide affordable charging options for residents, businesses and visitors who don't have off‑street parking, by working alongside commercial providers to meet the rising demand as electric vehicle ownership becomes more affordable.
