The course will:
- Consider the meaning and implications of a trauma-informed approach, including an insight into the impact of ACEs on behaviour.
- Provide insight into the neuroscience of shame and the impact of shame based behaviour management.
- Look at the impact of relational approaches in reducing behaviour related challenges.
- Explore the impact of key relationships and a relationship policy.
- Give practical strategies for establishing regulation spaces and supporting pupil self-regulation.

As both the local authority and schools are transitioning towards relational trauma-informed approaches, this course will explore how your setting can embrace the approach in positive and practical ways.
