This course will:
- Provide new and experienced SENDCOs with an overview of PIVATS 5, PIVATS PSED and Toolkit.
It will give opportunities to:
- Practise how to use PIVATS to assess children and identify targets to inform planning for learning.
- Consider how PIVATS PSED can be used to support children struggling to reach their potential due to aspects of SEMH.
- Consider how PIVATS sits alongside effective inclusive practice.
- Consider how to monitor and track progress when using PIVATS.
In addition to the above, this course is an opportunity for SENDcos to hear about and share, effective practice for using PIVATS to help maximise progress for those children falling behind ARE due to aspects of SEND. The course will also give an overview of the new PIVATS extension packs for reading and number.
