Building on the success of the LPDS primary publication 'Learning Science in the Outdoors' (search publication PBL435)
Rachael Webb (LPDS science consultant) and Catharine Cummins (LPDS Early Years consultant) explore how to create opportunities to deliver the EY Statutory Framework using the outdoors.

Through examples of hands-on practical activities, the course will enable early years' teachers and science subject leaders to plan for rich learning opportunities which link to learning about the 'Natural World' and develop the skills of working like a scientist. The course will consider how outdoor learning can prepare children for the next stage of education to ensure progression into Y1 and to avoid unnecessary repetition. Delegates will explore opportunities for children to develop responsible attitudes towards the environment and living things and a love of learning about nature. Part 3 will consider effective strategies for pupil recording and evidencing learning.

*The Science subject lead will be free with another paying delegate*
