- Explore and discuss common behavioural challenges that arise during unstructured play and transitions.
- Support adults in managing playtime interactions, modelling positive behaviour, and responding to conflicts constructively.
- Provide tailored strategies to help children who struggle with social interactions, emotional regulation, or peer relationships during play.
- Ensure children experience breaktimes as a safe, inclusive, and cooperative environment that promotes wellbeing and positive relationships.

This exciting new course will support behaviour leads, teachers, learning mentors, and school staff in understanding and addressing the behavioural challenges that arise during breaktimes and lunchtimes. Participants will explore effective strategies for fostering a positive and inclusive playtime environment, helping children build social skills and self-regulation. The course will provide practical approaches for managing interactions, modelling positive behaviour, and ensuring playtimes are structured yet supportive. It would be valuable for any schools working towards the Lancashire Behaviour Quality Mark.
