• To examine the role of the subject leader in developing a curriculum that meets the needs of all children in your setting, as well as satisfying the requirements of the National Curriculum.
• To identify effective approaches to school self-evaluation, monitoring, reviewing and improving provision for Foundation Subjects within the school curriculum.
• To provide practical advice and sharing of resources that will support subject leaders in ensuring their curriculum is focused and tailored to their children, with consistency in approach across all subjects whilst acknowledging the individual aspects of each subject.
• To facilitate opportunities to discuss concerns and share good practice between colleagues from different settings.
This course will examine Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact and the implications for Foundation Subject Leaders. The course is ideal for all subject leaders and also ECTs who will take on a subject leader role following successful completion of their ECT induction.
