To provide an overview of a child's journey through the early years in relation to SEND so that teachers in Reception and beyond understand the process of identifying and supporting children's needs before they arrive at school.
To ensure teachers working in nursery schools and classes, or teachers who may become SENCOs in nursery schools or schools with nursery classes, know what support is available to parents/carers in Lancashire.
To ensure teachers working in nursery schools and classes, or teachers who may become SENCOs in nursery schools or schools with nursery classes, know what support is available to them and their colleagues in the childminder and private, voluntary and independent (PVI) sectors.
To provide an overview of transition for children with emerging or identified SEND as they move in to Reception.
