This course will cover:
To explore aspects of teaching science of concern to early career teachers including classroom management, health and safety, lesson planning and the use of ICT
To investigate a range of teaching strategies which are of particular relevance in achieving good and outstanding lessons and that meet the current teaching standards
To meet the needs of early career teachers in successful completion of their induction in school

Participants will explore what features are included in good and outstanding lessons including the use of responsive and adaptive teaching, independent learning, paired and group work. Examples of literacy in science will be shared along with strategies to develop group work and self regulation.

The course is suitable for all teachers wishing to develop their classroom practice.
