This course will:
- Demonstrate practically suitable activities for Year 1 and 2 that support the computing curriculum such as those for programming, digital literacy, using technology and creating digital content
- Look at and be provide information and resources to support assessment and sequence of learning in Year 1 and 2
- Discuss the importance and development of computational thinking and unplugged activities in Year 1 and 2
- Look at resources and materials for teaching computing in KS1.
This course will provide teachers with skills and knowledge to teach computing in Year 1 and 2 in primary schools. It will look at hardware and software and provide resources and ideas to support the teaching of computing at KS1.
