Governor Briefing for the NEW EYFS Statutory framework, September 2021 including the EYFSP (Early Years Foundation Stage Profile)

The purpose of this course is to:
- inform Governors about the key points around the NEW EYFS Statutory framework including the NEW Early Years Foundation Stage Profile.
- inform Governors about the content of the NEW Early Learning Goals
- understand the importance of moderation of NEW EYFSP assessments.
This briefing session is for Governors and will be jointly presented by The Lancashire Early Years Team and The Lancashire Assessment Team. It will give the key messages of the new EYFSP and framework, which became statutory in September 2021.
The course will consider:
- The new EYFS Framework
- The new Development Matters
- The new ELGs
There will also be input regarding what Governors can do to support EYFS Teachers in the steps needed to implement the new approaches, alongside how assessment will look in EYFS and a consideration around evidence and moderation.
This course is for Governors only. Schools who have bought into the Service Level Agreement will receive this course for free as part of their package, but will be charged £25 for non-attendance. Schools which have not bought in to the SLA will be charged the full course fee. It is important that you inform LPDS if you are unable to attend a course to avoid the charge for non-attendance.
