Talk Three A year-long CPD programme designed to improve outcomes for children in Year 3

The Talk Three Programme includes attendance for up to two staff at each session, which can be decided by the school (e.g. any combination of Y3 teacher(s), Y3 teaching assistant(s), Subject Leader, Headteacher).
The cost of the programme is £1100 which includes two members of staff at each session.

This programme includes:
- English Publication Bridging Unit - A Bear called Paddington - a full unit of work to be delivered in autumn 1 (prior to the start of Talk Programme training)

CPD Day 1 – an exemplified narrative unit of work based on folk tales (4-5 weeks) and a non-fiction unit including letters and instructions (2 weeks) to be delivered in autumn 2, with a comprehensive resource pack.

CPD Day 2 – an exemplified English and History focused unit of work including narrative, non-fiction and poetry elements (up to 10 weeks), to be delivered in spring 2 and summer 1 with a comprehensive resource pack.

CPD Day 3 – an exemplified unit of work based on a classic narrative poem The Spider and the Fly by Mary Howitt with a range of narrative, poetry and non-fiction outcomes (6-7 weeks), to be delivered in summer 2, with a comprehensive resource pack.

Three half-day update sessions with a focus on key skills alongside moderation training and workshops in the autumn, spring and summer terms. Models of moderation will be explored which can be utilised back in school.
