- To explore the expectations of the History National Curriculum within EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- To focus on key learning, historical teaching sequences and progression of skills in history.
- To explore a range of different assessment approaches that can be used together to assess the range, depth and security of pupils’ knowledge.
- To explore practical ideas and resources to enliven teaching and learning in history.

This twilight course has been specifically deigned for second year ECTs and will focus on developing a range of different approaches to assessment in primary history. It will include creative ideas for teaching and assessing history. A comprehensive download of key documents will be provided. There will be opportunities within the session for teachers to discuss good practice and to raise issues that are pertinent to their school situation.

Please note: non attendance will result in a charge of £45.00 being charged.
