- To provide an update on the statutory requirements in relation to the EYFSP assessment.
-To discuss planning in the reception class and reflect on non statutory guidance documents. To discuss key elements of planning effective provision including long, medium and short term planning. This will include planning for provision indoors and outdoors and planning for an appropriate mix of adult led and child initiated activities.
-To identify the importance of observational assessment and how this can be used effectively to feed into planning.
-To reflect on how to develop an effective assessment system in the reception class.

This course is suitable for any teacher new to or returning to the EYFS.
