Course Aims:
- To provide guidance for Year 2 teachers in making judgements against the statements from the teacher assessment frameworks for the end of Key Stage One.
- To benchmark evidence against local and national exemplification.
- To moderate judgements made in reading, writing and mathematics.

For the academic year 2022/2023, Year 2 teachers are required to make teacher assessment judgements for reading, writing and mathematics against the Teacher Assessment Frameworks at the End of Key Stage One.

Participants are asked to bring teacher assessment evidence for reading, writing and mathematics for three children. This may include hard copy evidence such as work in book, teachers records and photographs or electronic evidence such as that on an iPad/tablet.
Opportunities will be given to discuss the accuracy of judgements with other practitioners, consultants and local authority moderators. Participants will also have the opportunity to benchmark their work in relation to national exemplification materials.

This full day course will be split into two sessions, English and mathematics with participants taking part in both sessions.

This course does not replace any statutory moderation that the school may be required to take part in.
