The lower ground floor is still accessible via the stairs only.

If you wish to view material or stock which is normally available on the lower ground floor, please contact us to make an appointment so that we can arrange to make the items available in the main lending library on the ground floor.

We are a Lancashire warm space where you can keep warm, access information and advice or spend time with others.

Opening times

Please note that this library will be closed from 9am to 10am on the second Wednesday of every month for staff training.

Every Monday 6pm to 7pm will be Quiet Hour in the library. We ask our customers to respect this by muting phones and devices whilst in the library.

All our libraries will be closed on bank and public holidays and some additional days.

Local History at Burnley Library is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm, Saturdays 2pm-4pm, subject to staffing. Main library opening times are below.

Disabled parking is on Thompson car park. Ramp at the front of the building. Lift is available to all floors.
