Access to the catalogue is through the Archives service website or via the existing web address at https://archivecat.lancashire.gov.uk The catalogue continues to provide online access to information about the collections held by the Archives, with improved search functionality across the database and new guides to help you access the collections. LANCAT is Lancashire Archives online catalogue, containing descriptions of over 1.5 million documents from within our collections. They date from the 12th century to the present day and include archives of local government and churches, family papers, school records, maps and plans, and the records of businesses and societies. Red Rose collections

Historic photos of Lancashire plus searchable indexes to Lancashire history resources at the Archives and in Lancashire libraries, including Preston Guild Rolls 1397 to 1992, Lancashire Constabulary 1840 to 1925 and Whittingham Asylum 1873 to 1914.

Police records search

This database lists Lancashire police officers, including those who served with the Lancashire County Constabulary between 1840 and 1925. This is now part of Red Rose Collections.
