King's Awards for Enterprise

The King's Awards for Enterprise, previously known as the Queen's Awards for Enterprise, have been given annually since 1966 in recognition of commercial success. They are the UK's most prestigious business award, recognising outstanding achievements by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility. Recipients of awards are permitted to use the King's Awards emblem on marketing materials for a five-year period.

To be considered for the award, businesses must apply online and meet necessary the eligibility criteria (full details are available on the GOV.UK website).

Local award winners

The winners of the 2025 King's Awards for Enterprise include:

  • Innovation award – Detectronic and Hurst Green Plastics.
  • International trade award – Cheese Matters, Neal Jones Furniture, and Yordas Group.

These winners bring the number of Lancashire business that have won or shared in an award since the inception of the King's Awards for Enterprise to 181.
