Drum roll please! Following an evening of celebration and song at Lancaster University's Great Hall on Wednesday 29 November, we were delighted to announce the following winners for Lancashire Choir of the Year 2023:

You all voted in your thousands for the People's Choice Award and the winner for 2023 is: The Capricorn Singers
3rd Place Runner-up 2023: Blackburn People's Choir
2nd Place Runner-up 2023: The Capricorn Singers
Winner 2023: Nelson Civic Ladies' Choir.

Lancashire Choir of the Year 2023 celebration concert

The judging panel consisted of Saphena Aziz, Director of Inclusion at Curious Minds; Jane Irwin, Soprano; Matthew Thomas, Musical Director of Rossendale Male Voice Choir and County Councillor Phillippa Williamson, leader of Lancashire County Council.

The winning choir were awarded a professional recording session, and the runners-up and People's Choice choirs were offered a professional vocal workshop.

Congratulations to all our winners and well done to all our finalists for a fantastic evening.
