Blackpool Male Voice Choir

Established before 1911, Blackpool Male Voice Choir performed in Blackpool in October 1914, singing The Soldier’s Farewell in what must have been a poignant concert prior to many members going off to war. More than a hundred years on, the choir, under the direction of Hayley Tarry, continues to go from strength to strength.

They have performed in many different venues including the Royal Albert Hall and more recently on the Severn Valley Railway. Their repertoire is varied, ranging from traditional to modern and they take pride in their ability to sing softly, in contrast to the expected ’big sound’.
