Elections
There are 84 county councillors elected to cover all the electoral divisions in the 12 Lancashire district areas. In Lancashire there are two unitary authorities (Blackburn with Darwen, and Blackpool). Lancashire county councillors do not represent these areas. The next county council elections will take place in May 2025.
Local elections and the Police and Crime Commissioner election
On Thursday 2 May 2024, there will be elections taking place in Lancashire.
Although there are no elections to Lancashire County Council, elections are being held for the Police and Crime Commissioner and in seven of Lancashire's district areas: Burnley, Chorley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Preston, Rossendale and West Lancashire.
