If you find it difficult to use the phone a family member or friend can ring on your behalf and speak to us.

If all our advisers are busy when you call, we will ask you to leave your contact details and we will call you back.

Where possible we will answer your query by phone.

Face to face advice sessions

If it is not possible to deal with your query without seeing you, you may want to attend an advice session to see an adviser face to face. We hold advice sessions in various locations throughout Lancashire. We will make you an appointment nearest to where you live but we can see you at a different advice session if it is more convenient for you. We can send you directions if you need them.

When you attend an appointment you should bring any papers and information that will help us to understand your query better. If your appointment is about an appeal, we may ask you to let us have your appeal papers before the appointment.

If you can't attend your appointment, please ring us as soon as you can.

Customers who have special needs

Most of our advice sessions are held in buildings with wheelchair access.

The county council's minicom number is 01254 220666.

If your first language is not English or if you have you have difficulty with your hearing or speech let us know when you contact us so that we can give you the advice you need in a way that is suitable to your needs.

Home visits

If we cannot deal with your enquiry over the phone or email and you cannot travel to see us because of your age, disability, health problems or caring responsibilities, we may be able to visit you at home. However, we still need to talk to you first. Please ring us on 0300 123 6739.
