JRSA's Term 3
Now that the nights are lighter and hopefully the weather is a bit warmer and brighter, this is an ideal opportunity for JRSA's to focus on activities in the great outdoors. There are a number of national/local initiatives aimed at encouraging walking, active travel and cycling throughout the early summer months.
It is also an ideal time of year to focus on independent travel for Year 6, as they transition from primary to secondary school and to think about the road safety messaging school is giving to its families in preparation for the new intake.
So what kind of things could the JRSA's do this term?
1. JRSA's could plan an event for Brake Kids Walk with a year group at school. This takes place on Wednesday June 11th this year.
It could be as simple as organising a short walk near to school with a focus on an issue pertinent to your wider school community. The Brake resource pack contains all that is needed for organising a school walk.
The Brake resource pack will be sent to you and you will be given digital access if you sign up.
These are some of the resources that were provided for the 2024 Brake Kids Walk.
