SDQ in action

Objectives

By the end of the day, participants will:

  • identify, assess, interpret, and plan support for children and young people using the SDQ

  • understand trauma-informed practice and relational approaches, and how these link to the SDQ

  • reflect on the impact of trauma and ACEs on development and wellbeing

  • understand the school’s responsibilities for mental health and wellbeing

  • use outcome measures to gain deeper insight into a child’s needs at 1:1, group, or whole-school level

  • implement the SDQ in a school setting

  • confidently interpret results and scores, and begin personalising support, interventions, strategies, and action plans

Delivery method

This training will take place in person at County Hall and is a full day training.
