A range of free e-learning is available on the Virtual Learning Environment including an introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
The following providers also offer free training:
Prevent duty training – an introduction to the Prevent duty and how it aims to safeguard vulnerable people from being radicalised to supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves.
Lancashire Children’s Safeguarding Assurance Partnership (CSAP) coordinates a number of multi-agency courses. Their website also provides links to e-learning courses related to safeguarding.
Blackburn with Darwen Learning (melearning.university) - a variety of free e-learning courses including: Child Sexual Exploitation, Female Genital Mutilation and The Prevent Duty.
Open Learn (The Open University) - a range of free short courses with certificates upon completion.
Mind Ed - children’s mental health training.
NASEN - a charity to support professionals with SEND including mini guides and e-learning.
Recognising and preventing FGM training (Virtual College) - introduces Female Genital Mutilation and the action you should take to protect girls who may be at risk.
Early Help Assessment – this e-learning covers the approaches and principles to completing early help assessments and early help plans in Lancashire (formerly CAF).
