MS Excel - Introduction Functions and Formula - Level 1 - IT0058

Who is this course for?

This course is for participants to would like to know how to create and use some basic functions and formulas in MS Excel. This is a Level 1 course.

Aims

This course provides the skills and knowledge to create basic formulas using different mathematical operators and to using basic functions to perform calculations.

Objectives

  • Work with the functions of - Sum, Average, Min, Max, Today, Now, CountBlank, CountA and Count
  • Work with Formulae
  • Understand when and how to use Absolute and Relative References
  • Recognise common error messages and how to fix these issues

This course is delivered virtually and face-to-face.

£75 per person.

Participants should be comfortable using a computer, to be able to navigate around the screen, work with folders and files, use the taskbar and manage the mouse. 

All Microsoft Excel courses are designed to use the mouse and not the trackball facility that is available on the laptop.  Please ensure you have a mouse to use.

For virtual training, you will need to be familiar with using Microsoft Teams Meetings, work with the Windows Taskbar, to be able to switch applications and to access files and folders in File Explorer.
