English – level 2 qualification - PD0023
This Course is for
LCC employees who do not have an A-C GCSE in English. Delegates will be assessed in first session and delegates not yet ready for a level 2 programme will be given the opportunity to join a longer programme elsewhere. A commitment to all sessions is required.
If you are considering undertaking an apprenticeship and do not hold this qualification sign up and undertake it before you start your apprenticeship.
Unfortunately, employees already undertaking an apprenticeship or commencing an apprenticeship whilst undertaking the course should not apply as this qualification is funded through the apprenticeship
Aims
To provide a range of blended training including tutorials, English practice papers and online learning.
The course will take place for half day per week, delivered virtually over a 12-week period. There will be a half day assessment before the commencement of the course
Objectives
You will cover content for three distinct areas of qualification
Unit 1: Speaking, Listening and Communication
Unit 2: Reading
Unit 3: Writing
Delegates will sit an exam at the final session.

Nelson and Colne College Paul Dickenson. To be delivered virtually, the exam will be held on-site.
