Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who would like to create a Presentation in MS PowerPoint; no previous experience is necessary.  This is a Level 1 course.

Aim(s)

This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to create, format and enhance your first presentation.

Objectives

·       Open and create a new presentation and view the screen layout, plan and prepare a presentation and understand different slide layouts

·       Build slides; inserting Titles, text boxes and bulleted lists

·       Insert simple shapes with text, add images, move, and resize shapes and images

·       Customise bullet and numbered lists, change indents and spacing

·       Copy, delete, duplicate, and move slides in a slide deck, add a header and footer to slides, add speaker notes to slides

·       Print a presentation as handouts and run a presentation in slide show

Participants should be comfortable using a computer, to be able to navigate around the screen, work with folders and files, use the taskbar and manage the mouse.  All Microsoft courses are recommended that you use a mouse and not the trackball facility that is available on the laptop.

For Virtual Training you will need to be familiar with using Microsoft Teams Meetings, work with the Windows Taskbar, to be able to switch applications and to access files and folders in File Explorer.
