A comprehensive look into the role of drugs and alcohol in our community and how to support young people.


Objectives
Participants will learn about

  • Gain a clear understanding of our service, including how and when to make effective referrals
  • Explore the reasons why young people may use substances, alongside the associated risks and impacts
  • Build confidence in recognising and responding to a range of real-life scenarios faced by young people
  • Develop insight into how substance use can affect young people’s health, wellbeing, and development
  • Learn practical strategies to support young people in opening up, and how to provide meaningful advice around safer choices and harm reduction
