This course is for all Foster Carers, Supervising Social Workers and Adoption Social Workers.

Aims

This course aims to provide foster carers with the knowledge and skills they require for undertaking effective risk assessment.

Objectives

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Describe the significance of risk assessment and what it involves.
• Apply the risk assessment process to the day to day caring of children and manage risks.
• Outline the ongoing process of risk assessment and adjustment.
