A comprehensive look into the role of drugs and alcohol in our community, safer drinking guidelines and the significance of moderate consumption.
Objectives
Participants will learn about
• The physical and psychological effects of alcohol and drugs including serious issues like liver damage, foetal alcohol syndrome disorders and ketamine bladder syndrome.
• Discuss the emergence of new synthetic opioids, highlighting their presence in the UK market and the associated risks.
• How to be better equipped to promote safer drinking practices, advise on harm reduction techniques and support people to access our specialist service for support.
• Training on Naloxone, a life-saving intervention to temporarily reverse opioid overdose.
