Course Aims:
- To explore the big ideas of science and how their threads run through the phases including key stage two, three and four
- To allow delegates to develop strategies for diagnosing starting points, delivering new content and assessing progress for students working towards key stage three readiness
- To review curriculum plans and sequences to include science knowledge and skills from key stage two to help the transition to key stage three and beyond

This course will help students develop the core foundational science knowledge and skills that underpin key stage three and beyond. For learners who have not yet achieved the expected standard for primary science this course will equip colleagues with the knowledge and skills to help their students move into the key stage three science curriculum successfully.
