Course Aims:
- To explore the quality of science teaching including linking desired outcomes with focused actions.
- To develop expertise in science teachers at translating curriculum content into explanations and learning activities.
- To exemplify the features of effective science teaching and how to use assessment to check pupils' progress.

This course is aimed at staff who teach secondary science with an interest in developing their expertise. The day will allow for the exploration of effective strategies that enable pupils to make progress in their science learning beyond that which has been gained so far.
