Course Aims:
- A termly update to enable Science Subject Leaders to be informed and updated on current issues in primary science.
- To support the Science Subject Leader with specific aspects of their role.
- To explore ways of continuing to improve the quality of teaching and learning in science.
- To provide engaging and interesting ideas to teach the science curriculum.

These meetings are intended to keep the subject leader updated with the latest information about Ofsted, national updates, publications and fresh ideas to take back to school to support teaching, learning and assessment.

There will be a meeting each term with a different focus at each one. Each session must be booked individually, and it is advised subject leaders attend all sessions to ensure they are fully up to date with developments in their subject. Course participants will be provided with a download of resources which will include a Powerpoint presentation of the key messages which can be used for staff development back in school.

(Please note: A face-to-face version of this session is also available which will allow for more opportunities for discussion of key resources with other peers, raising issues linked to your setting, sharing good practice and engaging in some practical aspect linked to teaching and learning. This online version is a shorter session to reflect this).
