This course is aimed at teachers and cover supervisors who may have to deliver PSHE Education sessions in secondary schools.

• Teachers will observe a live demonstration of an RSE lesson, gaining practical ideas on how to deliver this content confidently. They will learn effective teaching techniques, strategies for engaging students, and methods for addressing questions and concerns in a supportive manner.
• Teachers will develop the skills to effectively address complex issues within the PSHE curriculum.
• Teachers will gain confidence in discussing sensitive topics. They will learn techniques for facilitating open and respectful conversations, addressing student concerns, and ensuring that discussions are age-appropriate and culturally sensitive.
• Teachers will learn strategies to establish a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected and comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. This includes setting clear ground rules, fostering mutual respect, and promoting a supportive atmosphere.
